History of Success

Since relocating from Houston to the Innovation Research Park @ ODU, ipConfigure has experienced unprecedented growth. Widely recognized in the surveillance industry as a leader in developing cutting-edge solutions, ipConfigure maintains one of the largest IP video surveillance installations in the country.

ipConfigure credits much of their success to their headquarters location in the Innovation Research Park @ ODU.

Christopher S. Uiterwyk, CEO, ipConfigure said, “The Innovation Research Park @ ODU offers tenants unique advantages that have greatly benefited ipConfigure. The collaborative resources available, especially from a technical perspective, have allowed us to leverage research from the University’s Vision Lab while working hand-in-hand with the Machine Shop on customized surveillance solutions, and to conduct elaborate research and development test scenarios.”

Uiterwyk, an Old Dominion University graduate, added, “Beyond the knowledge resources and amenities, the Innovation Research Park @ ODU provides a recruitment opportunity, particularly in the way of student internships. Access to talent has been critical to the growth of ipConfigure’s workforce.”

ipConfigure is finalizing plans to more than double their existing space with an highly collaborative office expansion into Building II.

“Beyond the knowledge resources and amenities, the Innovation Research Park @ ODU provides a recruitment opportunity, particularly in the way of student internships. Access to talent has been critical to the growth of ipConfigure’s workforce.”
